Oscar Prado came out of the goal and Davide Negri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of WRC Franchi Racing Team booed when C.C. Ortigia Siracusa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Zisser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fortunato Leggeri was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Cesare Tristezza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Fiorentino, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Davide Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's Fabiano Zisser got a free kick in the 25th minute. Oscar Prado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Davide Negri went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 35 minutes, George Dănănae mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.C. Ortigia Siracusa and the WRC Franchi Racing Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. George Dănănae kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of WRC Franchi Racing Team booed when C.C. Ortigia Siracusa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Dănănae didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th match minute, C.C. Ortigia Siracusa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armand Col to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 46 minutes, Davide Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davide Negri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dino Capaldo made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Negri in the 53rd minute of play forced WRC Franchi Racing Team's goalkeeper Oscar Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Fabiano Zisser had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Prado. WRC Franchi Racing Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabiano Zisser was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Davide Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Oscar Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of WRC Franchi Racing Team booed when C.C. Ortigia Siracusa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Nuñez didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Davide Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After recieving a nice pass, WRC Franchi Racing Team's Fortunato Leggeri tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ortigia Siracusa's Cesare Tristezza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Capaldo in the 91st minute of play. Oscar Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davide Negri in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. C.C. Ortigia Siracusa fully deserved thier win.
