Eraldo Piccone helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sannaville F.C.'s Eraldo Piccone got a free kick in the 10th minute. Ferruccio Mercuri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Fabrizio Miccoli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 17 minutes, Alfredo Palmieri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perla Ionica and the Sannaville F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ferruccio Mercuri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Miccoli having to interfere. If Felice Della Torre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Sannaville F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Felice Della Torre came free, but Flavio Bucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sannaville F.C. getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Augusto Sforza hit a great ball. Alfredo Palmieri struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Flavio Bucci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perla Ionica.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardo Barchiesi to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Perla Ionica getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Felice Mori hit a great ball. In the 67th match minute, Sannaville F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniele Iacovella to maneuver through the defense. Ibrahim Yattara didn't quite understand what happened when in the 69 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After having played for 70 minutes, Bernardo Barchiesi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perla Ionica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Barchiesi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sannaville F.C.'s Flavio Bucci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Sannaville F.C. from getting a goal against them. Achille Tullo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Fabrizio Miccoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bernardo Barchiesi came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Perla Ionica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Barchiesi couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ferruccio Mercuri in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabrizio Miccoli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabrizio Miccoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferruccio Mercuri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Palmieri got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 92nd minute, Alfredo Palmieri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Enrico Borgatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th match minute, Perla Ionica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesare Sciamanna to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Perla Ionica walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
