Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) 5 minutes into the game, Ferruccio Mercuri recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bruno Pietropaolo. Ferruccio Mercuri showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of Sannaville F.C. booed when CSKA Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Pavia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Alexander Zollino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sannaville F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Zollino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Pietropaolo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, CSKA Roma's Bruno Pietropaolo got control of the ball when Ferruccio Mercuri tried to sneak it across the goal line. CSKA Roma's Bruno Pietropaolo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save CSKA Roma from getting a goal against them. After 18 played minutes CSKA Roma got a freekick which was hit by Fulvio Giordani. In the 19th minute of the match Alexander Zollino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Pietropaolo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 20th minute Felice Spione suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Franco Lozzi fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CSKA Roma's protests and gave Franco Lozzi a yellow card for diving instead. Sannaville F.C. made a substitution. Donato Paganelli replaced Felice Spione. After 21 played minutes CSKA Roma got a freekick which was hit by Franco Lozzi. After having played for 25 minutes, Achille Tullo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sannaville F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Achille Tullo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Ferruccio Mercuri put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Pietropaolo. 32 minutes into the match, Sannaville F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Donato Palumbo came free, but Flavio Bucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrico Borgatello struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Bruno Pietropaolo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sannaville F.C.. Bruno Pietropaolo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eraldo Piccone. If Ferruccio Mercuri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrico Borgatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Pietropaolo having to interfere. Bruno Pietropaolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferruccio Mercuri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute of the match, Enrico Borgatello tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bruno Pietropaolo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ferruccio Mercuri was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferruccio Mercuri made a kick off. Bruno Pietropaolo came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Sannaville F.C.'s Ferruccio Mercuri. But to his dismay, Ferruccio Mercuri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Achille Tullo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Pietropaolo having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, CSKA Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico De Tommasi to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, CSKA Roma's Emanuele Ritacco got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 70th minute, Alberigo Tagliente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fulvio Giordani took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Flavio Bucci. Sannaville F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bruno Pietropaolo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrico Borgatello in the 75th minute of play. Ferruccio Mercuri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Bruno Pietropaolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 played minutes Sannaville F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eraldo Piccone. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Flavio Bucci successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 82nd minute Ferruccio Mercuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Pietropaolo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Sforza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bruno Pietropaolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Enrico Borgatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sannaville F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Enrico Borgatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The audience was convinced that Ferruccio Mercuri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Pietropaolo was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. 96 minutes into the match, Sannaville F.C.'s Enrico Borgatello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Pietropaolo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Sannaville F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
