In the 14th match minute, Borbiago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Verna to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Fortezza Adriatica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ermanno Cavallucci came free, but Meelis Asso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Caeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meelis Asso having to interfere. If Ermanno Cavallucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Fagondo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Alfredo Barillari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Fagondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When Ermanno Cavallucci came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Borbiago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ermanno Cavallucci couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Caeiro in the 64th minute of play forced Fortezza Adriatica FC's goalkeeper Meelis Asso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Fortezza Adriatica FC booed when Borbiago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felice Bartolomucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fortezza Adriatica FC's zone, Carter Piano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Meelis Asso came out of the goal and Carter Piano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Meelis Asso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Caeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 81 played minutes Fortezza Adriatica FC got a freekick which was hit by Abd al-Asis Bouteflika. Ermanno Cavallucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Meelis Asso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermanno Cavallucci might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Meelis Asso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ermanno Cavallucci ran back to his position shaking his head.
