Anfilogino Serra's late challenge caught a Cao Di Sopra AsFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anfilogino Serra helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Anfilogino Serra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the game, Cristiano Masi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cao Di Sopra AsFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Filomenna the free kick. A collision led to Cao Di Sopra AsFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Cristiano Masi hit a great ball. The supporters of Santa Filomenna booed when Cao Di Sopra AsFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Piattelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anfilogino Serra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Eugeniusz Ankiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Santa Filomenna fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Santa Filomenna's Attilio Grande looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fabio Caporale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Del Nero having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Masi in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dino Del Nero saved Santa Filomenna from getting behind. Dino Del Nero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Masi in the 53rd minute of the match. Dino Del Nero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Masi in the 58th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Ermanno Tofani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dino Del Nero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Bernardi in the 78th minute of the match. Santa Filomenna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Attilio Grande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Flavio Vulcano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Haydar Cevar struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute.
