Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ferruccio Vianello started the match with the kick off. Alvise Capasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Guerra in the 5th minute of play. Alberto Berardini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Beppe Chiarelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Alvise Capasso made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Alessio Conforti sent off a good shot on target. 22 minutes into the match, Venezia's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Berardini came free, but Beppe Chiarelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Ferruccio Vianello notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Venezia's Beppe Chiarelli. Beppe Chiarelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Venezia's Beppe Chiarelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferruccio Vianello in the 29th minute of play. If Alberto Berardini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beppe Chiarelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Vianello in the 35th minute of the match. Ferruccio Vianello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Chiarelli having to interfere. When Ferruccio Vianello came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the AC Milan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferruccio Vianello couldn't finish the play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donato Malatesta made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Donato Malatesta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezia and the AC Milan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Venezia's Donato Malatesta got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Alvise Capasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Conforti, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Alvise Capasso came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Venezia's Alessio Conforti. But to his dismay, Alessio Conforti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some careless play in the AC Milan defense, Donato Malatesta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvise Capasso. The AC Milan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvise Capasso should have stopped the shot. After 68 minutes, Ferruccio Granato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Milan and the Venezia players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ferruccio Granato hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Donato Malatesta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 76 played minutes Venezia got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Odisio. When Carter Alfani fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Milan's protests and gave Carter Alfani a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, AC Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carter Alfani to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Giorgi hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 82nd match minute, Venezia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ennio Caniglia to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Venezia booed when AC Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domenico Dorigatti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudio Odisio kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. When Donato Malatesta was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. In the 92nd match minute, Venezia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Malatesta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Venezia's zone, Alberto Berardini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beppe Chiarelli came out of the goal and Alberto Berardini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudio Odisio during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Claudio Odisio kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. AC Milan's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Venezia had won, even though AC Milan had held more of the ball.
