The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Alessandria FC's goalkeeper Carter Corvi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domenico Tiberio. Alfredo Manzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Cicchetti in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberigo Cicchetti in the 16th minute of play forced Para FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Manzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Corrado Ricciuti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Manzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Alberigo Cicchetti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute Alberigo Cicchetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Manzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carter Corvi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domenico Tiberio in the 36th minute. Alfredo Manzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberigo Cicchetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Domenico Tiberio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Para FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domenico Tiberio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Domenico Tiberio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Fabiano Scalabrino made the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Manzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corrado Ricciuti in the 51st minute of play. Ciccio Rigoni kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Alessandria FC's Domenico Farese couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Para FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Corrado Ricciuti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alessandria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Corrado Ricciuti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Manzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Para FC's Ciccio Rigoni got a free kick in the 64th minute. Alfredo Manzi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Domenico Farese. Alberigo Cicchetti's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alfredo Manzi firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Corrado Ricciuti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alberigo Cicchetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Alfredo Manzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabiano Scalabrino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carter Corvi having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
