Eraldo Albertosi started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Bianco Pasin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Tondi. CG Studenti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bianco Pasin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eraldo Albertosi during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes, Fed. Calcistica W26's Diego Niccolai shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabio Tondi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fed. Calcistica W26 reached it. Concetto Mantini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anthony Pelati in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bianco Pasin in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Tondi saved CG Studenti from getting behind. Eraldo Albertosi struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Concetto Mantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CG Studenti. Fabio Tondi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bianco Pasin's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Fabio Tondi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bianco Pasin in the 29th minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, CG Studenti's Anthony Pelati made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Concetto Mantini was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bianco Pasin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Fabio Tondi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabio Tondi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bianco Pasin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosimo Zuccarini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Tondi having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Bianco Pasin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 54 in the game by Bianco Pasin from a close distance when the talented Fabio Tondi managed to make a qualified save. CG Studenti's players were relieved. Concetto Mantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Pelati in the 60th minute of play. If Bianco Pasin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bianco Pasin got free with Fabio Tondi in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosimo Zuccarini in the 90th minute of play forced CG Studenti's goalkeeper Fabio Tondi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Anselmo Cruciani fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CG Studenti's protests and gave Anselmo Cruciani a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, CG Studenti's Anselmo Cruciani got a free kick in the 91st minute.
