Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) San Martino's Elia Cino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th match minute, Taleacotium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlo Belfiore to maneuver through the defense. Taleacotium's Ciro Lo Iacono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armin Molinaro in the 14th minute of play. Elia Cino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Ciro Lo Iacono when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, San Martino's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Belfiore came free, but Biagio Grimaldi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Taleacotium's Ciro Lo Iacono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Scivittaro in the 35th minute of play. Ciro Lo Iacono made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elia Cino in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute Armin Grassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Lo Iacono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciro Lo Iacono was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ciccio De Donatis. Ciro Lo Iacono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armin Molinaro in the 44th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlo Belfiore to make the kick off. Ciro Lo Iacono stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elia Cino's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. After 53 minutes, Emiliano Spano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Martino and the Taleacotium players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emiliano Spano hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. If Carlo Baratta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Lo Iacono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elia Cino, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute of the match San Martino got a corner. Taleacotium's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ciccio De Donatis ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led San Martino's Ciccio De Donatis to fire away a dangerous shot which Ciro Lo Iacono despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ciccio De Donatis succeeded in the game's 66th minute to get real power on a long shot . Taleacotium's Ciro Lo Iacono hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-0! Ciro Lo Iacono took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elia Cino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Elia Cino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Lo Iacono came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by San Martino's Elia Cino. But to his dismay, Elia Cino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When Bruno Caroselli fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taleacotium's protests and gave Bruno Caroselli a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Taleacotium fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! Ciro Lo Iacono had in the 88thth minute some difficulties stopping Ciccio De Donatis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The excitement rose when San Martino's Ciccio De Donatis after 88 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Taleacotium's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Taleacotium's zone, Elia Cino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Lo Iacono came out of the goal and Elia Cino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrea Teti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Biagio Grimaldi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
