Taleacotium's Ciro Melfi got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Armando Di Febo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Taleacotium's Ciro Lo Iacono. Ciro Lo Iacono was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arturo Angelucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ciro Lo Iacono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donato Nazzaro made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Ciro Melfi sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Trento's Fabrizio Melone got a free kick in the 26th minute. When Carlo Belfiore came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Taleacotium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlo Belfiore couldn't finish the play. Ciro Melfi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Donato Nazzaro made a huge save. In the 30th minute, Ciro Melfi made a precise shot to the right of Donato Nazzaro. Trento's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Comunardo Falone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlo Belfiore was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Taleacotium's Ciro Lo Iacono got control of the ball when Armando Di Febo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Taleacotium getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Dennis Franceschelli hit a great ball. Ciro Melfi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Nazzaro having to interfere. Carlo Belfiore struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Donato Nazzaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taleacotium. Donato Nazzaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Melfi in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Taleacotium's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Restaino came free, but Ciro Lo Iacono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 minutes of play, Taleacotium's Carlo Belfiore made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Nazzaro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ciro Lo Iacono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Comunardo Falone, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Arturo Angelucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Belfiore in the 81st minute of play forced Trento's goalkeeper Donato Nazzaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rdth minute of the game Damiano Restaino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taleacotium's Ciro Lo Iacono was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 85th match minute, Taleacotium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Franceschelli to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Ciro Melfi notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Trento's Donato Nazzaro. Donato Nazzaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carlo Belfiore struck a weak shot in the 91st minute.
