Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlo Belfiore started the match with the kick off. Taleacotium's Ciro Lo Iacono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenico Evani in the 3rd minute of play. Augusto Toto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ciro Lo Iacono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Varazze fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Angelo Carlini placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Claudio Guerriero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciro Melfi's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Domenico Evani charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domenico Evani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Domenico Evani kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Toto to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Franco Ronca had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Bruno Caroselli's late challenge caught a Varazze's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Caroselli helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Taleacotium! Claudio Guerriero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Belfiore, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Taleacotium's Carlo Belfiore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Guerriero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrea Teti couldn't finish the play. Claudio Guerriero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Belfiore, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Augusto Toto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Emiliano Basso charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emiliano Basso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Taleacotium booed when Varazze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Basso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Carlo Belfiore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Toto in the 96th minute of play forced Taleacotium's goalkeeper Ciro Lo Iacono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taleacotium's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
