Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elia Cino started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristoforo Oberrauch in the 3rd minute of play forced San Martino's goalkeeper Biagio Grimaldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 4 minutes, Armin Grassi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Martino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armin Grassi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elia Cino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercole Gallucci having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Cristoforo Oberrauch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carpi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Leonidas Bosis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. Elia Cino struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Ercole Gallucci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Martino. When Beppe Cugini fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carpi FC's protests and gave Beppe Cugini a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Carpi FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Beppe Cugini hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Carpi FC's zone, Ciccio De Donatis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ercole Gallucci came out of the goal and Ciccio De Donatis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Fang Guang Ping had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Biagio Grimaldi. San Martino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fang Guang Ping was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Biagio Grimaldi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonello Di Monte in the 26th minute of the match. Biagio Grimaldi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristoforo Oberrauch showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 30 minute of play. Leonidas Bosis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Biagio Grimaldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dennis Pollastrini kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Armin Grassi notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Carpi FC's Ercole Gallucci. Ercole Gallucci was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Biagio Grimaldi came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Carpi FC's Leonidas Bosis. But to his dismay, Leonidas Bosis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Biagio Grimaldi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonidas Bosis's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Biagio Grimaldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fang Guang Ping, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Carpi FC's goalkeeper Ercole Gallucci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elia Cino. Ercole Gallucci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlo Baratta in the 62nd minute. Antonello Di Monte hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 66 played minutes Carpi FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonidas Bosis. Ercole Gallucci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armin Molinaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristoforo Oberrauch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Felice Catucci fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Martino's protests and gave Felice Catucci a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Felice Catucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Biagio Grimaldi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonidas Bosis went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. San Martino's Biagio Grimaldi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonidas Bosis in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th minute Fang Guang Ping shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Biagio Grimaldi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Fang Guang Ping left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carpi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. San Martino's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
