When Ciccio Lo Iacono fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored USD Cavese's protests and gave Ciccio Lo Iacono a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, USD Cavese's Ciccio Lo Iacono got a free kick in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberigo Taurino in the 43rd minute of play forced S.S. TUNZE TUNZE's goalkeeper Anfilogino De Nardis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of S.S. TUNZE TUNZE booed when USD Cavese was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ettore Giocondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anfilogino De Nardis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When S.S. TUNZE TUNZE's Alfonso Cristofari in 86 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Augusto Bonfigli guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. A collision led to USD Cavese getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Alex Pellegrini hit a great ball. USD Cavese were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over S.S. TUNZE TUNZE's much stronger midfield.
