Spectators: 7668 (Terracing: 5751, Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 153) Armando Di Febo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The throw-in from Ciro Di Persio in the 5th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Trento's Fabrizio Melone. Franco Ronca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Donato Nazzaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Franco Ronca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Donato Nazzaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 15 played minutes Trento got a freekick which was hit by Elia Faiella. In the 17th minute, Varazze's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arturo Angelucci fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Di Febo in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudio Guerriero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 19 minutes into the match, Trento's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Toto came free, but Donato Nazzaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damiano Restaino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Trento booed when Varazze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Ucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Nazzaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Toto in the 25th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Damiano Restaino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trento's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varazze the free kick. After a rather tough play, Trento's Damiano Restaino got a free kick in the 25th minute. Donato Nazzaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franco Ronca, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Trento booed when Varazze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinando Alessandro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Emiliano Basso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudio Guerriero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Di Febo in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto Toto made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Trento's Damiano Restaino got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Varazze's Claudio Guerriero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Angelucci in the 56th minute of play. Donato Nazzaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Toto in the 57th minute of play. Donato Nazzaro made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Franco Ronca sent off a good shot on target. Donato Nazzaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenico Evani in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Trento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ennio Di Fonzo to maneuver through the defense. Franco Ronca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Donato Nazzaro made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Di Febo in the 64th minute of play forced Varazze's goalkeeper Claudio Guerriero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 minutes, Emiliano Basso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varazze and the Trento players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 69 minutes Varazze's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabrizio Melone who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Trento's Armando Di Febo got a free kick in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the match, Varazze's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Restaino came free, but Claudio Guerriero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato Nazzaro was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ciro Di Persio. Alex Ranalli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Comunardo Falone in the 86th minute of play forced Varazze's goalkeeper Claudio Guerriero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Varazze's Franco Ronca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donato Nazzaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Franco Ronca came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Varazze fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franco Ronca couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Toto in the 95th minute of play forced Trento's goalkeeper Donato Nazzaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Varazze walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
