Claudio Guerriero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armin Molinaro in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Augusto Toto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Biagio Grimaldi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Domenico Evani hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, San Martino's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Toto came free, but Biagio Grimaldi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Toto helped the player get up and apologised. Biagio Grimaldi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Ronca in the 39th minute of the match. Alfredo Scivittaro kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Biagio Grimaldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franco Ronca, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Toto was the one to do the kick off. In the 61st minute, Augusto Toto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciro Di Persio hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. When Domenico Evani fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudio Guerriero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 93 minutes into the game, Felice Catucci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Martino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varazze the free kick. A collision led to San Martino getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Felice Catucci hit a great ball. San Martino were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
