An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Zulli in the 6th minute of play forced Anunnaki FC's goalkeeper Fausto Di Luzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Júnior Mazza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michelangelo Menduni. Prato Valera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Júnior Mazza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Fausto Di Luzio was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Alvise Sisti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alvise Sisti really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Prato Valera's Lucas Orlandus got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute of the match Emiliano Zulli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fausto Di Luzio skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Anunnaki FC's zone, Emiliano Zulli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Di Luzio came out of the goal and Emiliano Zulli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alvise Sisti got in the 25th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Fausto Di Luzio handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Michelangelo Menduni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Júnior Mazza struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Michelangelo Menduni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anunnaki FC. After 33 minutes, Aquilino Gaskon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anunnaki FC and the Prato Valera players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Anunnaki FC's Aquilino Gaskon got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Emiliano Zulli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Fabio Borrelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Prato Valera booed when Anunnaki FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Li Feng Guo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldo Novella successfully managed to get himself past Anunnaki FC's defense and had a dream possibility and totally alone with Fausto Di Luzio everyone thought he would score, but the ball went just outside the top right corner. 48 minutes into the match, Anunnaki FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Novella came free, but Fausto Di Luzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alvise Sisti was the one to do the kick off.
