Spectators: 7944 (Terracing: 5959, Seating: 1827, VIP seats: 158) Borghi AFC's Florian Pich started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Enrico Barbanti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Borghi AFC defense, Camillo Trotta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Demetrio Cardano. The Borghi AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demetrio Cardano should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute Davide Contestabile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demetrio Cardano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demetrio Cardano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davide Contestabile in the 17th minute of the match. Dario Ballerini hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Fabio Teti scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Demetrio Cardano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dave Foni was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 26th minute. Borghi AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 26th minute, Inter's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Florian Pich fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 27 minutes into the game, Francesco Polmone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dave Cancemi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Inter getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Edoardo Fagnani hit a great ball. Demetrio Cardano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Contestabile in the 33rd minute of play. With a little luck, Inter's Dave Cancemi got control of the ball when Florian Pich tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Dave Foni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Inter were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabio Teti to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Francesco Polmone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Cancemi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Ballerini made a great header on Borghi AFC's corner, it was just that Inter's Dave Cancemi managed to reach the ball for a save. Borghi AFC's Demetrio Cardano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Teti in the 56th minute of play. Fabio Teti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Demetrio Cardano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Demetrio Cardano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davide Contestabile in the 60th minute of the match. Demetrio Cardano made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Anthony Lauri sent off a good shot on target. Inter were furious when Enzo Mancini was red carded, 64 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 65th minute, Enzo Mancini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dave Cancemi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Ballerini, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Anthony Lauri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Cardano having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Borghi AFC's Anthony Pelliccioni got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Florian Pich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 played minutes Inter got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Mirto. After a defensive mix-up in Inter's zone, Florian Pich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dave Cancemi came out of the goal and Florian Pich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd minute, Borghi AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Camillo Trotta fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 93 played minutes Borghi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dario Ballerini. If Florian Pich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 97 minutes, Francesco Polmone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borghi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francesco Polmone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle went the supporters of Inter were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Borghi AFC side.
