Spectators: 7466 (Terracing: 5966, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francesco Del Greco started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Alberigo Scoca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esse Trento fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Francesco Del Greco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gambettola AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Francesco Del Greco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio De Bettin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enzo Pietropaolo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Orsi, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of Esse Trento booed when Gambettola AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Comunardo Pesce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberigo Di Meo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Pastor Cilio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enzo Pietropaolo. Gambettola AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pastor Cilio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 22 minutes into the match, Esse Trento's Emiliano Orsi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enzo Pietropaolo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cesare Padula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Enzo Pietropaolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Emiliano Orsi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enzo Pietropaolo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 32nd minute Emiliano Orsi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Pietropaolo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enzo Pietropaolo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Di Meo in the 37th minute of the match. Alberigo Di Meo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Pietropaolo having to interfere. Enzo Pietropaolo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pastor Cilio's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Antonio Toninelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio De Bettin having to interfere. Francesco Del Greco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Flavio De Bettin made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pastor Cilio to make the kick off. Emiliano Orsi struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Enzo Pietropaolo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esse Trento. Emiliano Orsi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Enzo Pietropaolo made a huge save. Enzo Pietropaolo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emiliano Orsi went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The Esse Trento fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Esse Trento's Alberigo Di Meo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alfredo De Sisti hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Diego Violento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberigo Di Meo's late challenge caught a Gambettola AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberigo Di Meo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Esse Trento getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Alberigo Di Meo hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Pastor Cilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Emiliano Orsi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Enzo Pietropaolo, 0-7. 90 minutes into the game, Comunardo Pesce threw the ball into play from the sideline. Esse Trento's Ciro Combi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 92nd minute of the game Alfredo De Sisti made a throw-in which Alfonso Biancone played forward. When the match was over Esse Trento could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gambettola AFC throughout the match.
