The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Abbagnale got free with Enzo Pietropaolo in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Attilio Pasqualone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Del Greco in the 74th minute of play. If Alfonso Biancone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enzo Pietropaolo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Beppe Longo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-7 in the 80 minute of play. In the 84th minute, Beppe Longo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Enzo Pietropaolo. The goal made the score 2-8. The LUPI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-9. If Bianco Attili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Gambettola AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. LUPI were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
