After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Felice Bergomi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Birreal's supporters rose to their feet, but Felice Bergomi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camillo De Leonardis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Flavio Marconi came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Semantra AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Marconi couldn't finish the play. Alvaro Fantasia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Semantra AC booed when Atletico Birreal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wincenty Badanowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camillo De Leonardis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Minicucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Federico Minicucci to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Atletico Birreal had won after a very even match.
