The crowd rose to their feet as Roger Forsberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carter Sarnelli. That made the score 1-0 in the 2 minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Aurelio Bassani had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carter Sarnelli. Montacuto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aurelio Bassani was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Aurelio Bassani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Bassani in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carter Sarnelli saved Montacuto from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Roger Forsberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carter Sarnelli was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Carter Sarnelli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aurelio Bassani went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. A hard shot 25 in the game by Aurelio Bassani from a close distance when the talented Carter Sarnelli managed to make a qualified save. Montacuto's players were relieved. After 29 played minutes Montacuto got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Minotti. 30 minutes into the match, Montacuto's goalkeeper Carter Sarnelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlo Colangelo. When Arturo Castronovo came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Veritas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Castronovo couldn't finish the play. After 33 played minutes Montacuto got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Minotti. The crowd rose to their feet as Arturo Castronovo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carter Sarnelli. That made the score 5-0 in the 35 minute of play. In the 38th minute, Aurelio Bassani reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carter Sarnelli. The goal made the score 6-0. Carter Sarnelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Forsberg in the 42nd minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Veritas's Arturo Castronovo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carter Sarnelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniele Cerri was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Roger Forsberg notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Montacuto's Carter Sarnelli. Carter Sarnelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 59th minute Arturo Castronovo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carter Sarnelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Montacuto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Antonini to maneuver through the defense. Antonio Di Fiore hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Carlo Colangelo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Veritas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Carter Sarnelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Bassani in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Roger Forsberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carter Sarnelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. Carter Sarnelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Forsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Daniele Cerri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Veritas's Danilo Aguilera was substituted for Arturo Castronovo. Carter Sarnelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Aguilera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Roger Forsberg came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Veritas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Forsberg couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Veritas fully deserved thier win.
