Real Angelica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zheng Jing Fei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th minute, Cristoforo Malatesta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Brian Nava fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OldHighburyInvincibles's protests and gave Brian Nava a yellow card for diving instead. Donato Carosella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zheng Jing Fei in the 23rd minute of play. With a little luck, OldHighburyInvincibles's Donato Carosella got control of the ball when Zheng Jing Fei tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute Carmine Ramoser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Carosella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carmine Ramoser could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Donato Carosella made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Angelica's Rūtenis Banaitis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donato Carosella. That made the score 2-0 after 46 minutes of play.

54 minutes into the match, Zheng Jing Fei had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato Carosella. OldHighburyInvincibles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zheng Jing Fei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 57 minutes into the match, OldHighburyInvincibles's goal looked a bit too open when Zheng Jing Fei came free, but Donato Carosella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Zheng Jing Fei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Donato Carosella was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. OldHighburyInvincibles's Donato Carosella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zheng Jing Fei in the 70th minute of play. Donato Carosella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zheng Jing Fei in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 77th minute Zheng Jing Fei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Carosella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zheng Jing Fei in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donato Carosella saved OldHighburyInvincibles from getting behind. After 83 minutes, Bedřich Takáč mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OldHighburyInvincibles and the Real Angelica players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Zheng Jing Fei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Carosella was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 87th minute, Alexander Valeri made a precise shot to the right of Donato Carosella. OldHighburyInvincibles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 93rd minute of the match Rūtenis Banaitis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donato Carosella skillfully saved the ball. Zheng Jing Fei scored 8-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donato Carosella, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Real Angelica walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
