Despite this Concetto Piattelli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nusrettin Okatan during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute, Nusrettin Okatan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ribera's Teoman Renan pulled a muscle in his back after 12 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ribera's Aldo Sforza was substituted for Teoman Renan. A collision led to Pedriano getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ferruccio Di Paolo hit a great ball. Nusrettin Okatan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eşref Tandoğan struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Concetto Piattelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ribera. Enrico Cavallaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Concetto Piattelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anfilogino Totaro hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The Ribera fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Ribera's Aldo Sforza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 32nd minute, Ibrahim Türker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Baltasar Pio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Enrico Cavallaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fedele Mameli was the one to do the kick off. Alessandro Del Bello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Bocchi in the 56th minute of play. Concetto Piattelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Sforza, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When Baltasar Pio came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Ribera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltasar Pio couldn't finish the play. If Eşref Tandoğan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ribera's Camillo Schiavio got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute Ibrahim Türker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Concetto Piattelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ibrahim Türker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Concetto Piattelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ribera's Aldo Sforza in 88 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Concetto Piattelli guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Eşref Tandoğan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Concetto Piattelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ribera's Cosimo Onori got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pedriano's zone, Amerigo Bolli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Concetto Piattelli came out of the goal and Amerigo Bolli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Ribera could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pedriano throughout the match.
