Spectators: 7998 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) Alessandro Del Bello came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Edinburgh D. C.'s Karel-Jan Beaufort. But to his dismay, Karel-Jan Beaufort quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15th match minute, Edinburgh D. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Monzeglio to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Ribera getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Angelo Cavanna hit a great ball. Alessandro Del Bello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karel-Jan Beaufort in the 25th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Edinburgh D. C. got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Monzeglio. Arrigo Papetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 42 minutes, Latif Rugova managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edinburgh D. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Latif Rugova was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arrigo Papetti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Frank Bianchi came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Edinburgh D. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Bianchi couldn't finish the play. Camillo Schiavio kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Angelo Cavanna made in the 72nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Aldo Sforza immediately put the ball in play. In the 81st minute Aldo Bernardini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Del Bello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eşref Tandoğan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Koldobika Aponte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Karel-Jan Beaufort recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Eşref Tandoğan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ribera's supporters rose to their feet, but Eşref Tandoğan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Koldobika Aponte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edinburgh D. C. played a much better game than Ribera and deserved their victory. The Ribera players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
