Felice Coccolone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto Campo in the 22nd minute of the match. Cosimo Florio might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felice Coccolone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cosimo Florio ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the match, Muppet FC's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Giandomenico came free, but Felice Coccolone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 minutes, Donato Corelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Muppet FC and the SURSUM CORDA F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eraldo Verdini was the one to do the kick off. Felice Coccolone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iqbal Rambing in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eraldo Verdini in the 55th minute of play forced SURSUM CORDA F.C.'s goalkeeper Dario Biancone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Mazzone kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. SURSUM CORDA F.C.'s Cristiano Iovine got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Anfilogino Morelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SURSUM CORDA F.C.'s Dario Biancone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Verdini in the 63rd minute of play. After 73 minutes of play, Muppet FC's Eraldo Verdini made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dario Biancone was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Muppet FC's zone, Iqbal Rambing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felice Coccolone came out of the goal and Iqbal Rambing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute of the match, Florian Giandomenico tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Felice Coccolone saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 87 minutes into the game, when Dario Latini put in a rough tackle. In the 87th minute, one of Muppet FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Muppet FC. When the match had been going on for 90 minutes, SURSUM CORDA F.C.'s Cristiano Iovine got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Felice Coccolone. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Muppet FC were victorious despite being under pressure from SURSUM CORDA F.C. for much of the match.
