In the 11th minute of the match Dario Latini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrico Ottavi skillfully saved the ball. Eraldo Verdini might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrico Ottavi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eraldo Verdini ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Tagliacozzo 1923's Enrico Ottavi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Verdini in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, FC Tagliacozzo 1923's goal looked a bit too open when Eraldo Verdini came free, but Enrico Ottavi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Donato Corelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enrico Ottavi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 25 minutes, Donato Corelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muppet FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Corelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Amerigo Juliano fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muppet FC's protests and gave Amerigo Juliano a yellow card for diving instead. 30 minutes into the match, Eraldo Verdini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrico Ottavi. FC Tagliacozzo 1923's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eraldo Verdini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 34th match minute, FC Tagliacozzo 1923 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Ruggieri to maneuver through the defense. When Eraldo Verdini came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Muppet FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eraldo Verdini couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Muppet FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Martini came free, but Felice Coccolone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anfilogino Morelli in the 40th minute of play forced FC Tagliacozzo 1923's goalkeeper Enrico Ottavi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Corelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Enrico Ottavi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anfilogino Morelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrico Ottavi having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Anfilogino Morelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Enrico Ottavi made a huge save. 59 minutes into the match, Aldo Punta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Enrico Ottavi, 0-3. FC Tagliacozzo 1923's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eraldo Verdini 63 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. In the 80thth minute of the game Eraldo Verdini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Tagliacozzo 1923's Enrico Ottavi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Enrico Ottavi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dario Piacente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Felice Coccolone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Anfilogino Morelli came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Muppet FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anfilogino Morelli couldn't finish the play. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The FC Tagliacozzo 1923 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Muppet FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
