Homer Miner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Dario Biancone made a huge save. Mano Grande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Comunardo Quadrini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Homer Miner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Biancone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th match minute, SURSUM CORDA F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Giandomenico to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fulvio Sessa got free with Dario Biancone in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fulvio Sessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Biancone having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Aruspemo Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto Campo came free, but Mano Grande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
