The crowd rose to their feet as Arturo Di Girolamo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Daniele Zola. That made the score 2-0 in the 9 minute of play. In the 12th minute, Sbocco Rosso's Arrigo Giancola ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Daniele Zola. Daniele Zola yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 16 minutes into the match, Montemurlo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Di Girolamo came free, but Daniele Zola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniele Zola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arrigo Giancola, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Anselmo Di Liddo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daniele Zola. The goal made the score 4-0. Daniele Zola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Di Liddo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Daniele Zola successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ercole Rosi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 7-1. Daniele Zola was a little too slow when Arrigo Giancola got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 8-1. Anselmo Di Liddo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniele Zola having to make a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 8-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ercole Rosi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniele Zola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ercole Rosi, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Cristoforo Toccaceli made a precise shot to the right of Daniele Zola. Montemurlo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-1. The supporters of Sbocco Rosso booed when Montemurlo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. The tension between the Montemurlo AFC and the Sbocco Rosso players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Montemurlo AFC's Federico Conte got a free kick in the 70th minute. Daniele Zola came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Sbocco Rosso's Ercole Rosi. But to his dismay, Ercole Rosi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 13-1. 75 minutes into the game, Sbocco Rosso's Ercole Rosi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniele Zola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 14-1. Daniele Zola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arrigo Giancola in the 78th minute of play. Alessio Pensa kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Daniele Zola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Di Liddo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Daniele Zola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristoforo Toccaceli in the 82nd minute of the match. The Sbocco Rosso fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Sbocco Rosso's Arrigo Giancola looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 15-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 87 minutes, Ercole Rosi made it 16-1 with a short kick to the right side. Montemurlo AFC's Daniele Zola tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 91 minutes into the game, Ercole Rosi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 17-1. Daniele Zola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Sbocco Rosso players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
