The referee ignored Il Reverendo Team's protests and gave Attilio Tripodi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Donato Tatangelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Roberto baggi's Ferruccio Mori dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arrigo Motta got free with Anfilogino Cirone in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd match minute, Il Reverendo Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corrado Aversano to maneuver through the defense. In the 34thth minute of the game Ferruccio Mori who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Il Reverendo Team's Anfilogino Cirone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfredo Mazzocchi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anfilogino Cirone having to interfere. After some careless play in the Il Reverendo Team defense, Ferruccio Mori kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anfilogino Cirone. The Il Reverendo Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anfilogino Cirone should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Arrigo Motta took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anfilogino Cirone. Anfilogino Cirone dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Arrigo Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st match minute, Il Reverendo Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corrado Aversano to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 68 minutes, Adriano Losito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Il Reverendo Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriano Losito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute Alfredo Mazzocchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anfilogino Cirone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Arrigo Motta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roberto baggi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Il Reverendo Team the free kick. In the 73rd minute, Arrigo Motta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carter Cattaneo had great luck who in the 74thth minute grab hold of the ball when Adriano Losito from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Ferruccio Mori scored 4-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anfilogino Cirone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Flavio Antonelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Il Reverendo Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Antonelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carter Cattaneo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavio Antonelli got free with Carter Cattaneo in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anfilogino Cirone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Mazzocchi in the 92nd minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Roberto baggi fully deserved thier win.
