Milano FC's Camillo Di Nino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Anthony Parente notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Saima FC's Dario Apolloni. Dario Apolloni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 8 minutes, Dave Tenaglia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saima FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Tenaglia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Davide Melucci got free with Arsenio Javiar in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dario Apolloni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camillo Di Nino in the 12th minute of the match. Dario Apolloni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Betti in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Saima FC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Betti came free, but Dario Apolloni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 minutes, Camillo Di Nino made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Saima FC's Dario Apolloni tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Angelo Betti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eraldo De Lorenzi lost his temper 29 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 29th minute, one of Saima FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Saima FC. In the 31st minute of the match Antonello Mazza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dario Apolloni showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Saima FC's Dario Apolloni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camillo Di Nino in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Milano FC were awarded a corner. Angelo Betti went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Milano FC's Angelo Betti to fire away a dangerous shot which Dario Apolloni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Saima FC's Dario Apolloni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Parente in the 35th minute of play. When Milano FC's Camillo Di Nino in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saima FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 37th minute, Dave Tenaglia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Betti scored 0-4 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dario Apolloni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute Camillo Di Nino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Apolloni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Cristoforo Fantini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Milano FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davide Melucci made a kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Milano FC's Anthony Parente made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dario Apolloni was left in no man's land by his defense there! 58 minutes into the match, Anthony Parente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dario Apolloni. Saima FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anthony Parente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. When Milano FC's Angelo Betti in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saima FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 62nd play minute Anthony Parente came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dario Apolloni. 0-8. In the 65th minute, Milano FC's Camillo Di Nino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. Dario Apolloni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camillo Di Nino in the 68th minute of the match. Angelo Betti was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When Angelo Betti came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Milano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Betti couldn't finish the play. Cristoforo Fantini hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute Camillo Di Nino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Apolloni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Anthony Parente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 80 minutes into the match, Saima FC's goalkeeper Dario Apolloni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anthony Parente. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristoforo Fantini in the 81st minute of play forced Saima FC's goalkeeper Dario Apolloni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Ottaviani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Dario Apolloni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Angelo Betti dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dario Apolloni, 0-10. Augusto Ottaviani charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Ottaviani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes Milano FC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Ottaviani. 89 minutes into the game, Angelo Betti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-11. Dario Apolloni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Saima FC's Dario Apolloni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Saima FC from getting a goal against them. Saima FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Angelo Betti scored to the left of an out of position Dario Apolloni, making the score, 0-12. When the match was over Milano FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Saima FC throughout the match.
