Despite this Daniele Mirto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Campania Ponticelli's Fausto De Marchi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Zollino in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match, Luca Toni got a very nice opportunity to score, but Daniele Mirto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Ferdinando Verdone fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Torre Dei Pinguini FC's protests and gave Ferdinando Verdone a yellow card for diving instead. Ferdinando Verdone hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute of the match, Michael Scofield tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Daniele Mirto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. One of Torre Dei Pinguini FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Campania Ponticelli:s goal. Daniele Mirto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luca Toni went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. In the 70th minute, Luca Toni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniele Mirto was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. In the 73rd minute, Felice Apicella left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Campania Ponticelli fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 12-0. 75 minutes into the match, Torre Dei Pinguini FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giorgio Petrini came free, but Daniele Mirto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Campania Ponticelli's Michael Scofield got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Torre Dei Pinguini FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Toni came free, but Daniele Mirto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
