Verbano FC were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Austria Imperialis LS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Florian Cavallaro took the corner. Enrico Colella's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Agustin Gonzo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Armin Fulgenzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Austria Imperialis LS's Agustin Gonzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Austria Imperialis LS from getting a goal against them. Attilio Marzoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedele Maia in the 24th minute of play. Verbano FC's Attilio Marzoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Egger in the 34th minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Verbano FC! Verbano FC:s Attilio Marzoli showed great skill when he stopped Angelo Bruno:s penalty. 41 minutes into the match, Angelo Bruno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Attilio Marzoli. Verbano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angelo Bruno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Armando Egger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Marzoli having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Egger was the one to do the kick off. Agustin Gonzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florian Cavallaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florian Cavallaro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Agustin Gonzo. Austria Imperialis LS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Angelo Bruno was slow to take the kick. During this time Austria Imperialis LS's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Austria Imperialis LS's Ercole Tocci to fire away a dangerous shot which Attilio Marzoli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Verbano FC booed when Austria Imperialis LS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Nola didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 minutes of play, Verbano FC's Armin Fulgenzi made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Agustin Gonzo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florian Cavallaro in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agustin Gonzo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Fulgenzi in the 91st minute of play forced Austria Imperialis LS's goalkeeper Agustin Gonzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Armin Fulgenzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verbano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armin Fulgenzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Verbano FC fully deserved thier win.
