The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anselmo Orsini made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Augusto Di Iorio sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Borgo Moella FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciro Catucci in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anselmo Orsini saved Campogalliano from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Corrado Piermattei during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Campogalliano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corrado Piermattei to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute Aurelio Salomone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felice Lucantoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored Campogalliano's protests and gave Amedeo Minichiello a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Campogalliano getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Amedeo Minichiello hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Borgo Moella FC's Ferruccio Renzetti tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee ignored Borgo Moella FC's protests and gave Amedeo Ramundo a yellow card for diving instead.
