In the 18th match minute, Leonzio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Comunardo Minotti to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Damian Valdevielso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cimone's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Valdevielso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wally Hightower breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonzio's Wally Hightower proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Leonzio from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Cimone's zone, Camillo Borrelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmine Di Rocco came out of the goal and Camillo Borrelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ennio Gervasi struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Wally Hightower didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cimone. 56 minutes into the match, Damian Valdevielso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wally Hightower. Leonzio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Valdevielso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Wally Hightower showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennio Gervasi, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Carmine Di Rocco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuele Colasante in the 66th minute of the match. Wally Hightower took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ennio Gervasi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of Leonzio:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cimone:s goal. Leonzio:s Wally Hightower showed great skill when he stopped Evaristo Borrego:s penalty. 73 minutes into the game, Cimone's Evaristo Borrego nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wally Hightower made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 75th match minute, Cimone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Borrego to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 78 minutes, Clint Barton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cimone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clint Barton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Damian Valdevielso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Florian Tieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wally Hightower having to interfere. Cimone's Ferdinando Tomei was substituted for Ennio Gervasi. After a defensive mix-up in Leonzio's zone, Clint Barton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wally Hightower came out of the goal and Clint Barton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Comunardo Minotti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cimone had played much better football throughout.
