Vandalino's Attilio Sanna got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Ferruccio Terrasi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wally Hightower was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Emanuele Colasante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. But to his dismay, Attilio Sanna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Attilio Sanna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wally Hightower having to interfere. Octav Alexa came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Leonzio's Diego Rosetta. But to his dismay, Diego Rosetta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attilio Sanna in the 39th minute of play forced Leonzio's goalkeeper Wally Hightower to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Leonzio getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Emanuele Colasante hit a great ball. Vandalino's Alvise Tellini was substituted for Fulvio Gargano. Emanuele Colasante hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Attilio Sanna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leonzio's Wally Hightower played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Uguccioni in the 54th minute of play. In the 60th minute Attilio Sanna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wally Hightower saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octav Alexa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Comunardo Minotti in the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vandalino's Ferruccio Terrasi got a free kick in the 65th minute. Octav Alexa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Rosetta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th match minute, Leonzio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Rosetta to maneuver through the defense. Octav Alexa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuele Colasante's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Wally Hightower showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attilio Sanna in the 75th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Ferruccio Terrasi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Diego Rosetta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leonzio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Leonzio's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ferruccio Terrasi was slow to take the kick. During this time Vandalino's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Vandalino getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Biagio Caniglia hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Attilio Sanna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vandalino fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Felice Piermattei kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Octav Alexa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuele Colasante in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Vandalino left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Leonzio.
