Eurospeed Asti's King Thorin got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Seth Messenger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Pinti in the 32nd minute. With his leg Seth Messenger managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Eurospeed Asti's Fausto Pinti fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fausto Pinti might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Seth Messenger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fausto Pinti ran back to his position shaking his head. Alberto Cinalli hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Seth Messenger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Pinti in the 45th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fausto Pinti made a kick off. Albinoleffe 's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
