In the 41st minute of the match, Ettore Stellato tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ercole Serantoni saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Krister Jonsson made a kick off. Daniele Aversano's late challenge caught a Saliceto Buzzalina FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniele Aversano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th match minute, Reggina Calcio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniele Aversano to maneuver through the defense. Saliceto Buzzalina FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Reggina Calcio for a fine match.
