With a left leg Attilio Pallini saved Stiolo AFD from getting behind. Ercole Serantoni came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Stiolo AFD's Angelo Lemma. But to his dismay, Angelo Lemma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a rather tough play, Reggina Calcio's Wladyslaw Szarmach got a free kick in the 39th minute. Ercole Serantoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Lemma in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Barnaba Naskrent got free with Attilio Pallini in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferruccio Leoni who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Attilio Pallini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Ferruccio Leoni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reggina Calcio's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferruccio Leoni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Attilio Pallini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Scarpone stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
