The corner was taken by Emilio Ricciuti in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vadim Tudor in the 11th minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Armando Bonelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Onychogomphus FC were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Sorci Viola's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Demetrio Corleone took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Cosimo Bosco managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 14 minutes into the match, Onychogomphus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cesare Loreto came free, but Comunardo Pascali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Onychogomphus FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Achille Patrizi hit a great ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Ercole Prato heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 26th minute of the match, Vadim Tudor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Armando Bonelli saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Onychogomphus FC's Comunardo Pascali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Scatena in the 27th minute of play. Onychogomphus FC were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Sorci Viola's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Demetrio Corleone took the corner. The corner ended in Demetrio Corleone almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sorci Viola's Armando Bonelli did a great save. Onychogomphus FC's Comunardo Pascali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesare Loreto in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Onychogomphus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achille Patrizi to maneuver through the defense. After 34 played minutes, Sorci Viola's Emilio Ricciuti shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Comunardo Pascali came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sorci Viola reached it. Vadim Tudor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Armando Bonelli made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ercole Prato got free with Armando Bonelli in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 44 minutes, Concetto Marzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sorci Viola and the Onychogomphus FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sorci Viola's Concetto Marzo got a free kick in the 44th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Onychogomphus FC's Demetrio Corleone tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cesare Loreto to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Vadim Tudor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Onychogomphus FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When Onychogomphus FC's Vadim Tudor in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sorci Viola's goalie prevented a goal. Flavio Scatena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Comunardo Pascali made a huge save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Scatena couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vadim Tudor in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Bonelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79th match minute, Onychogomphus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demetrio Corleone to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosimo Polmone during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Onychogomphus FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Cosimo Polmone hit a great ball. If Emilio Ricciuti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sorci Viola's Armando Bonelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vadim Tudor in the 86th minute of play. Onychogomphus FC were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Sorci Viola's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Demetrio Corleone took the corner. The corner led to Onychogomphus FC's Cosimo Bosco getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The audience was convinced that Vadim Tudor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armando Bonelli was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Ercole Prato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sorci Viola walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
