After 22 minutes of play, MoVenTorZ FC's Ercole Finocchi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ercole Serantoni was left in no man's land by his defense there! 26 minutes into the match, Ciro Anastasi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ercole Serantoni. Reggina Calcio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro Anastasi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ercole Finocchi got free with Ercole Serantoni in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Reggina Calcio's Wladyslaw Szarmach got a free kick in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, MoVenTorZ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferruccio Leoni came free, but Daniel Wiborg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Alvaro Gazza threw the ball into play from the sideline. Reggina Calcio's Wladyslaw Szarmach quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 35th minute Ferruccio Leoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Wiborg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 minutes, Ferruccio Leoni made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. MoVenTorZ FC's Daniel Wiborg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute Ferruccio Leoni suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Czeslaw Gaszynski fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MoVenTorZ FC's protests and gave Czeslaw Gaszynski a yellow card for diving instead. Ercole Serantoni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Angelucci in the 43rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Bruno Angelucci kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ercole Serantoni. That made the score 3-2 in the 43 minute of play. Bruno Angelucci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Ercole Serantoni made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dan Lund during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MoVenTorZ FC booed when Reggina Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Lund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reggina Calcio's Ercole Serantoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniele Pizzi in the 53rd minute of play. Amerigo Di Renzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Wiborg having to interfere. Ercole Serantoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ercole Finocchi in the 61st minute of the match. MoVenTorZ FC's Leonard Nienajadlo was substituted for Czeslaw Gaszynski. Ercole Serantoni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Angelucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute Bruno Angelucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Serantoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reggina Calcio's Wladyslaw Szarmach quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alvaro Gazza, made in the 76th minute of the game. Ciro Anastasi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercole Serantoni having to interfere. Ercole Serantoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniele Pizzi in the 80th minute of the match. Ercole Finocchi charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ercole Finocchi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ercole Serantoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Angelucci in the 88th minute of the match. Ercole Serantoni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ercole Finocchi, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Ercole Finocchi took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ercole Serantoni. Ercole Serantoni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2.
