Antonello Onori made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 30 minutes, Ercole Prato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Onychogomphus FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercole Prato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonello Onori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vadim Tudor in the 33rd minute of the match. Emilio Carosella hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, Saliceto Buzzalina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vadim Tudor came free, but Antonello Onori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Onychogomphus FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vadim Tudor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Saliceto Buzzalina FC's zone, Vadim Tudor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonello Onori came out of the goal and Vadim Tudor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vadim Tudor's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Antonello Onori skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 64th minute, Vadim Tudor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Onychogomphus FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Vadim Tudor put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Antonello Onori. Comunardo Pascali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Carosella, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. If Vadim Tudor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Saliceto Buzzalina FC were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Onychogomphus FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Krister Jonsson took the corner. The Saliceto Buzzalina FC fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Saliceto Buzzalina FC's Emilio Carosella looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Antonello Onori was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Vadim Tudor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vadim Tudor really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. 88 minutes into the match, Saliceto Buzzalina FC's goalkeeper Antonello Onori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beppe Gentile. After a defensive mix-up in Saliceto Buzzalina FC's zone, Cosimo Bosco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonello Onori came out of the goal and Cosimo Bosco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Onychogomphus FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
