The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Settepolesini's Fabio Laudadio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Carosella in the 8th minute of play. After 12 minutes of play, MOZZ's Fausto Carosella made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabio Laudadio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfonso Alfonsi struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Damiano Del Nero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Settepolesini. Ferdinando Grieco kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. MOZZ's Damiano Del Nero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save MOZZ from getting a goal against them. MOZZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Alfonso Alfonsi scored to the left of an out of position Damiano Del Nero, making the score, 2-1. Alfonso Alfonsi struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Damiano Del Nero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Settepolesini. In the 30th minute Ferdinando Grieco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Laudadio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damiano Del Nero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfonso Alfonsi's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Damiano Del Nero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Alfonsi, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Fabio Laudadio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinando Grieco in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, MOZZ's Fausto Carosella got a free kick in the 42nd minute. With an all-out effort, Settepolesini's Damiano Del Nero threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfonso Alfonsi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emilio Mattei stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, MOZZ's Fausto Carosella nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Laudadio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After 56 minutes of play, Settepolesini's Alfonso Alfonsi made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damiano Del Nero was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Fausto Carosella took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Fabio Laudadio to make any attempt to save it. In the 67th minute, Alfonso Alfonsi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfonso Alfonsi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damiano Del Nero having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Alfonsi in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damiano Del Nero saved MOZZ from getting behind. When Settepolesini's Alfonso Alfonsi in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
