Eraldo Fortuna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Carter Martelli made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Lupiae Salento's Carmine Marinucci got a free kick in the 9th minute. Fabio Mandelli's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Carter Martelli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 14th minute of the match Anselmo Antonangeli shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carter Martelli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fabio Mandelli struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Carter Martelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lupiae Salento. With 18 minutes on the clock, Cristiano Di Paola commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 18th minute, one of Winning Eleven:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Winning Eleven. Despite close surveillance by the defense, Comunardo Garofalo managed to send off a shot that put the ball into the goal to the left of a disappointed goalkeeper. 1-0 in the 21st minute. A collision led to Lupiae Salento getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Comunardo Garofalo hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Donato Arcangeli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernesto Bussi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Donato Arcangeli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donato Arcangeli struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Ernesto Bussi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Winning Eleven. In the 45th match minute, Winning Eleven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filippo Carozza to maneuver through the defense. Carter Di Giandomenico hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Eraldo Fortuna took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carter Martelli. Carter Martelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Lupiae Salento's Ernesto Bussi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Lupiae Salento from getting a goal against them. After 59 minutes, Diego Forlani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lupiae Salento and the Winning Eleven players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lupiae Salento getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Diego Forlani hit a great ball. Ernesto Bussi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davide Gallo in the 62nd minute. Francesco Muzzolon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Bussi having to interfere. The supporters of Winning Eleven booed when Lupiae Salento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eraldo Fortuna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute Eraldo Fortuna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carter Martelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Francesco Muzzolon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carter Martelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eraldo Fortuna's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Ernesto Bussi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Arcangeli in the 91st minute. Winning Eleven were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Lupiae Salento to leave the ground with a draw.
