The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şehzade Akburç helped the player get up and apologised. In the 2nd minute, Şehzade Akburç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 3 minutes into the match, Fortaleza's goalkeeper Christian Campoli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by J.J Batshuayi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Peter in the 6th minute of play forced Coccodrilli Brilli's goalkeeper Carter Scotti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Fortaleza defense, J.J Batshuayi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Campoli. The Fortaleza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Campoli should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute of the match Coccodrilli Brilli got a corner. Fortaleza's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alvise Masciarelli ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alvise Masciarelli made a great header on Coccodrilli Brilli's corner, it was just that Fortaleza's Christian Campoli managed to reach the ball for a save. Cosimo Polidori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Carter Scotti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Şehzade Akburç took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carter Scotti. Carter Scotti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for J.J Batshuayi to strike the kick off in the second half. J.J Batshuayi struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Christian Campoli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coccodrilli Brilli. 55 minutes into the game, Harry Peter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carter Scotti. Harry Peter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. J.J Batshuayi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fortaleza's Corrado Pietropaolo was substituted for Ciro Stumpo. In the 71st minute Cosimo Polidori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carter Scotti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 played minutes Coccodrilli Brilli got a freekick which was hit by J.J Batshuayi. Coccodrilli Brilli's Carter Scotti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosimo Polidori in the 76th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Harry Peter took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Carter Scotti to make any attempt to save it. Cosimo Polidori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Corrado Pietropaolo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carter Scotti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Don Cabeza scored 1-5 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carter Scotti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fortaleza's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
