Gotham City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Aurelio Santoro took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Biagio Lenci. Biagio Lenci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. A collision led to Gotham City getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ennio Palleschi hit a great ball. Gotham City's Biagio Lenci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesare Matteucci in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute Aurelio Santoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Biagio Lenci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Moscatelli scored 0-4 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Biagio Lenci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Gotham City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gom Gom FC were winning 0-9.

Biagio Lenci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Moscatelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th match minute, Gotham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Vidales to maneuver through the defense. Frank Moscatelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Biagio Lenci having to interfere. Gom Gom FC's Cristiano Alessandrini was substituted for Flavio Antognoni. If Aurelio Santoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 played minutes Gotham City got a freekick which was hit by CJ Crespo. Biagio Lenci was a little too slow when Frank Moscatelli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-10. Biagio Lenci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristoforo Epifani in the 74th minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, CJ Crespo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gotham City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gom Gom FC the free kick. The supporters of Gom Gom FC booed when Gotham City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. CJ Crespo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Moscatelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Biagio Lenci having to interfere. Biagio Lenci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristoforo Epifani in the 86th minute. With a little luck, Gotham City's Biagio Lenci got control of the ball when Frank Moscatelli tried to sneak it across the goal line.
