When Ettore Simeoni came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Buffalo Homies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ettore Simeoni couldn't finish the play. After 10 minutes of play, Stella Nera's Ennio Madonna made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tayyip Akhan was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14th minute, Ennio Madonna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stella Nera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Stella Nera's Bart Van Eijken in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buffalo Homies's goalie prevented a goal. After 24 played minutes Buffalo Homies got a freekick which was hit by Amos Dominici. The supporters of Buffalo Homies booed when Stella Nera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carter Lio didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Alessandro Marsilio managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Buffalo Homies's Alberigo Cicchini fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 32nd minute Ennio Madonna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tayyip Akhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Stella Nera's goalkeeper Alessandro Marsilio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Chelodi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberigo Cicchini in the 44th minute of play forced Stella Nera's goalkeeper Alessandro Marsilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ennio Madonna to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Fabrice De Block mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stella Nera and the Buffalo Homies players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st match minute, Stella Nera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrice De Block to maneuver through the defense. Fulvio Petrucci made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Adriano Paolucci immediately put the ball in play. With a little luck, Buffalo Homies's Tayyip Akhan got control of the ball when Fabrice De Block tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Buffalo Homies's Domenico Miccoli got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 76 played minutes Buffalo Homies got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Chelodi. Ettore Simeoni took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alessandro Marsilio. Alessandro Marsilio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After 82 minutes, Ernesto Chelodi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buffalo Homies and the Stella Nera players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Buffalo Homies's Ernesto Chelodi got a free kick in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Buffalo Homies getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Alfredo Fanfarone hit a great ball. Alessandro Marsilio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Cicchini in the 86th minute of play. Ettore Simeoni's late challenge caught a Stella Nera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ettore Simeoni helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Buffalo Homies got a freekick which was hit by Ettore Simeoni. Ignacio Baleren kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Alfredo Fanfarone, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tayyip Akhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennio Madonna, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Stella Nera's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
