Federico Buonanno hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. crespo's Dario Damiani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrico Lupi in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute Attilio Di Ianni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Damiani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonello Arpaia in the 16th minute of play forced Grottaferrata's goalkeeper Emanuele Raniolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Aureli kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Emanuele Raniolo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alessandro Di Florio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 25 minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Alberigo Bolognini notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Grottaferrata's Emanuele Raniolo. Emanuele Raniolo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. One of Grottaferrata:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of crespo:s goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Enrico Lupi made the kick off in the second half. Alessandro Di Florio struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Emanuele Raniolo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for crespo. With a little luck, crespo's Dario Damiani got control of the ball when Frank Menna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dario Damiani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Aureli in the 62nd minute of play. Federico Buonanno kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberigo Bolognini in the 64th minute of play forced Grottaferrata's goalkeeper Emanuele Raniolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alessandro Di Florio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Grottaferrata getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Alex Aureli hit a great ball. Alessandro Di Florio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Antonello Arpaia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ettore Di Fabrizio during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ettore Di Fabrizio kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 80thth minute of the game Antonello Arpaia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grottaferrata's Emanuele Raniolo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Antonello Arpaia sped through Grottaferrata's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emanuele Raniolo. A collision led to crespo getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ferdinando Cristofari hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrico Lupi got free with Dario Damiani in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Enrico Lupi came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Grottaferrata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrico Lupi couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, Alessandro Di Florio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuele Raniolo was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. With an all-out effort, Grottaferrata's Dario Damiani threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Enrico Lupi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The crespo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Grottaferrata had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
