With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elia Brillante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Corrado Piacente's late challenge caught a Browns's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Corrado Piacente helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Augusta Taurinorum's Corrado Piacente got a free kick in the 29th minute. Attilio Vieri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernan Gervaso took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elia Brillante. After 45 minutes of play, Browns's Eraldo Santone made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elia Brillante was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
