After 8 played minutes Rock got a freekick which was hit by Filippo Ferraresi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovanni Cruz got free with Cesare Minotti in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Buffalo Homies's zone, Antonio Simonetti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tayyip Akhan came out of the goal and Antonio Simonetti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amos Dominici hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Tayyip Akhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenico Rosi in the 17th minute of the match. Domenico Rosi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Tayyip Akhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute of the match Dario Serafini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tayyip Akhan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 30 minutes, Domenico Miccoli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buffalo Homies and the Rock players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Buffalo Homies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Miccoli to maneuver through the defense. Tayyip Akhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Simonetti in the 32nd minute of the match. Cesare Minotti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 90th match minute, Rock was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Circelli to maneuver through the defense. Tayyip Akhan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Camillo Bracco in the 94th minute. Buffalo Homies were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Rock to leave the ground with a draw.
