The audience was convinced that Ettore Boninsegna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Corrado Contestabile was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Corrado Contestabile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Corna in the 16th minute of play. The Hyblae FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Corrado Contestabile should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd match minute, Hyblae FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amedeo Giancola to maneuver through the defense. Hyblae FC's Corrado Contestabile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Corna in the 54th minute of play. Ferdinando Sanna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferruccio Festuccia's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Carlo Corna scored 1-5 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Corrado Contestabile, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Carlo Corna fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chivasso F.C.'s protests and gave Carlo Corna a yellow card for diving instead. Carlo Corna kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. If Ferruccio Festuccia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amedeo Giancola in the 69th minute of play forced Chivasso F.C.'s goalkeeper Ferdinando Sanna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinando Sanna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
